Staying safe and training right in our backyard...but also staying adventurous in spirit and looking for those chances to mix in some hiking and camping in our area as well! 😍For me, being able to connect with the outdoors is so powerful, so thank you @landroverusa for helping me get to these awesome opportunities! 🏃🏼‍♀️Wade and I loved getting the chance to get off the paved roads and hike in behind Stratton Mountain for some camping last weekend (Bourn Pond, for those of you wondering). And as always, please be sure to check your local guidelines and practice safe social distancing. 🙌🏼

When you want “date night” to look like this even when social distancing ends someday...you’re doing something right! ❤️🏕 Feeling so happy that we got a chance to use our tent and get out camping over the weekend. Getting a chance to unplug, swing in a hammock and eat way too many s’mores was exactly what we needed! If it’s safe to do so in your area, find some time to get outside and close to home, even if that’s in your backyard! I promise it will bring smiles. 🥰🙌🏼 @llbean

Getting back into speed work on our favorite closed road 🥳💪🏼 I want to take a moment to say a HUGE thank you to @swixsportus @finnsisustore @marwesports and @salomonrunning for getting roller skis, poles and running shoes sent out to me this spring! We dropped-in on our brand new Start Park, honed our skills in our Progression Park, and took hot laps through all of the updated freestyle terrain in our Sundance and Ryder's Parks. Eldora Nordic Center's own Tracy Ross just published an article in @outsidemagazine entitled, "How to Build a Psychological First Aid Kit" related to the COVID-19 epidemic. This article is perfect for anyone really feeling the stress that has come with social distancing and self-quarantine. Tracy discusses some very helpful coronavirus survival tips from nurse and psychiatrist Laura McGladrey, who built a "psychological first aid kit" for the American Mountain Guides Association. Laura has helped many individuals in the outdoor industry learn to identify and mitigate trauma and other stressors associated with working in their fields. Every Day Is Earth Day. Even in the dirty city streets. And everyday we get to decide the future with every dollar we spend and action we take. Empowered we are and I believe the Earth couldn’t be happier we are here. Knowing, like a parent, we are going to make a lot of mistakes as we grow. With endless patience, non-vengeance and benevolence, she continues to coax us in the right direction. It appears that even in the past 50 years, the conversation has changed so much, yet still has so far to go to an inevitable place of true symbiosis. This is where we are headed. But, it will take decisions and actions, everyday, to get to a place where the next generations will realize movements started centuries earlier. I, for one, am excited to be an active part of that process. Every vote, dollar and action, towards homeostasis. Earth has been evolving for billions of years for this. Tempus Est Iam. 📷-@tomjauncey
